Ethics and Behaviour:
To demonstrate high personal integrity, honesty and sincerity during the coaching process | |
Have the ability to create trust empathy and rapport | |
Remain non-judgmental throughout the process | |
Maintain confidentiality to the extent of the clients wishes | |
Remains focused on the client's needs and desired outcomes expressed by the client. |
Communication:
Listens actively to the client focusing on the clients message | |
Questions the client effectively to enable him/her to develop a strategy to positively support the clients required outcome and direction | |
Communicates effectively during the coaching session | |
Able to evaluate the clients communication by establishing good rapport interpreting the true meaning of the words in relation to the tone of voice | |
Encourages the client to explore his/her position in relation to particular beliefs and perceptions | |
Ensures that feedback to the client is clear and meaningful in terms of the client's intended outcomes. |
Facilitation:
Facilitates the client to consider the reality of the current situation in more detail through:
Enabling the client to define the current situation in more detail | |
Exploring levels of commitment | |
Evaluating with the client resources that will support the desired outcome | |
Exploring in detail the obstacles that could prevent the desired outcomes. |
Help the client to identify strengths and areas for growth | |
Effectively evaluates the information obtained from the client, and enables the client to make judgments based on their greater awareness of the situation | |
Empowers the client to establish clear goals that match their value and belief system | |
Facilitates the client to make commitment and progress towards their identified desired outcomes. |
